Two words that just dont seem to fit together are (Servant & Favor);Yet these are 2 words that Describe Daniels position in Daniel chapter 1. Along with 3 other young men (Shadrach, Meshack, & Abednego), Daniel was to be a Servant of the Kings house. They were to eat the Kings best food & wine, while in training yet Daniel chose to not eat of that diet, for him it was unclean; and in that choice of Obedience to His God (not his earthly King), Favor was given unto him by the Kings head ruler. At the end of their trial & testing--VICTORY WAS SWEET! Amazing isnt it, how Obedience even in the midst of a life of Serving, Favor is given! Staying True to our Relationship with our God, brings Victory in so many areas of our life as Overcomers. (Daniel in the Lions den yet walked out unharmed; Shadrack, Meshack & Abednego in the Firey-Furnice came out not burned, these are all great testimonies of Staying True & Choosing to serve Jehovah Jirah) Pray today, God I choose YOU above all others!
