Two years ago an older gentleman told me that he felt sorry for me and the generations that would follow me. He felt sorry because this boom in technology would increase the access that people have on us. We have a cell phone us 24/7, Facebook, email, various instant messenger apps, and who else knows whats next. That increase of access will physically change the human mind where will assume that we have to always reach out to the person who is requesting our attention from every angle possible. Its sickening how true this has been and how it has affected my life. People call me at 10am and expect a response back in two hours. Ill get a text message at 11pm and get another angry text at 8am about why I didnt respond back assuming that if I didnt answer at 11 I was sleep so 8 hours later I should be up, but if I went to bed at 3 like I normally do then 8am is too early. Or if everyone assumes that I have free time during my lunch to handle other request, then when do I eat. Please be considerate of others so we stop this new society of developing selfish people.
