Two years ago, in order to qualify for public aid, Billie started doing hours in South Side Missions kitchen helping out Sandra. Billie showed an outstanding work ethic and a knack with cooking. She loved helping out and we loved having her around--so much so that we enrolled her in South Side Missions Culinary Arts Training School. She graduated from CATS and looked hard for a job. After more than six months looking, Billie just got hired by TWO area kitchens! Billie says she is going to make enough for she and her family to get off public aid! Congrats to Billie! She did it!
