Two years ago on Round and Square—Divinatory Economics (Sacred Mountain Incense). This is what I am working on here in Erlangen (91052), Germany this spring. What I have posted here is a blog-version of an essay that is coming out in a few days. It is meant as the initial volley in my larger investigation of the ways we spend around religion. Anyone who has ever been to the Ole Store after church (Northfield friends) or either Perkins or the Waffle House (others)...or bought elaborate meals for post-sundown Ramadan meals...or Shabbat dinner...well, you have spent around religion. And what about the fixins for ancestral rituals in the Chinese speaking world? Why this seems not to be a serious economic, anthropological, or even religious question is beyond me. robert-lafleur.blogspot.de/2012/02/divinatory-economics-1sacred-mountain.html
