Two years ago today, at 10:56pm, our handsome, witty, smart, first born son lost his life to cancer. Benjamins battle with AML was not only brave but inspiring. At 13 years old he battled the unthinkable and throughout his battle reassured those around him that everything would be okay. He did NOT want to die but never stopped hoping for a miracle. We miss and love Benjamin very much. We know he is not suffering and we know he is living an eternal life that we can only hope to experience one day. Words can never express what our family feels. This loss is like no other. Life as we know it will never be the same. The void in our lives is very great. Knowing your child is happy and living in glory does not necessarily make the pain we feel here on earth easy but it gives us the much needed hope we need to be patient until we are reunited. The memories of his final moments cannot be erased but neither can the smile on his beautiful face as he entered Gods bountiful kingdom. Benjamin, like so many other innocent children, should be here today. He should be preparing to turn 16 years old this upcoming March. He should be planning his future. There is nothing I can write that will make this day easier or make it feel okay. We all miss Benjamin so much. It is difficult to comprehend that TWO whole years have separated us and its heart stopping to consider how many more years will continue to separate us. We hold on to the belief that one day we will all be reunited. But until then our hearts will be forever broken and tears will continue to flow. We miss you very much. Please continue to guide us, help us and send us your love. Your memory will be eternal sweet Benjamin. 💚 Today and everyday we honor you sweet boy! 💚We love you Benjamin!💚
