Tying to work this out ... my daughter Bekki is preggers .. her partner is Jarod. Now My hubby Bruce is Bekkis step dad BUT Jarod is Bruces nephew. See Jarods mom Vicki is Bruces sister - one day possibly to be Bekki,s mother in law. So does that make Bekki Vickis daughter in law or Auntie - by marriage. Also then do I become a nanna or great auntie - suppose Vicki would be the same gran/nan auntie scenario. Anyway then there is Stu who is jarods step dad and our as in Bruce and me brother in law. So technically Bekki is his niece by marriage but due to be a grandad by marriage. With me so far? Then there is Bruces, Vickis, Stus other kids ... who would become uncles, aunties, but also step brothers, sisters to Jarod and Bekki ..that is they are my step kids in laws of how it goes -. so you dont get confused ....Sorry I should punctuation in this lot ... it might help ... See Jarod has step brothers and sisters ...
