Tyler Bramble is working on his geography homework and we just had this conversation: Tyler: Dad, Saudi Arabia is in a desert, right? Have you ever been there? Me: Yes it is a desert. No, Ive never been there Tyler. Tyler: Is that because its a place you cant get to? or you dont want to? Me: No Tyler, its not like that. I would not mind visiting there at all. Id love to. Not sure Id want to live there though. It is very hot. In addition, civil rights as you and I think of them are different. For instance, women are not allowed to drive. And they are supposed to stay covered up. Tyler: oh right dad, plus you might have to ride a camel around all day. Me: Im not sure about that, but your answer surprises me. Id have thought riding a camel might be something youd like Tyler. Tyler: Really? Think about it dad . . . in the desert? In 120 degrees Fahrenheit? I dont think so. Touché Tyler...
