Location of Center: (as of 10:00 a.m.) 160 km Northeast of Virac, Catanduanes 270 km East Northeast of Daet, Camarines Norte Coordinates: 14.7°N, 125.6°E Strength: Maximum winds of 150 kph near the center and gustiness of 185 kph Movement: West Northwest at 19 kph Forecast Positions/Outlook: Monday morning: In the vicinityof Casiguran, Aurora Tuesday morning: 270 km Northwest ofSinait, Ilocos Norte In the Northwest boundary ofPAR Areas Having Public Storm Warning Signal PSW Signal No.3 (101-185 kph winds) Catanduanes Camarines Provinces Northern Quezon Province including Polilio Island Aurora Isabela Signal No. 2 (61-100 kph winds) Albay Sorsogon Rizal Rest of Quezon Laguna Bulacan Nueva Ecija Quirino Nueva Viscaya Benguet Ifugao Mountain Province Kalinga Cagayan Signal No. 1 (45-60 kph winds) Calayan Group of Islands Babuyan Group of Islands Ilocos Norte Ilocos Sur Apayao Abra La Union Pangasinan Tarlac Zambales Pampanga Bataan Cavite Batangas Marinduque Burias Ticao Islands Metro Manila Northern Samar Estimated rainfall amount is from 7.5 - 25 mm per hour (heavy - intense) within the 600 km diameter of Typhoon. Residents in low lying and mountainous areas under signal #3,#2 & #1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Likewise, those living in coastal areas under signal #3 and #2 are alerted against storm surges. Typhoon "Labuyo" will enhance the Southwest Monsoon which will bring moderate to occasionally heavy rains over the rest of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Sea travel is risky over the seaboards of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The public and the disaster coordinating councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 5 PM today.
