Typhoon Paeng (international name: Nuri) is currently in the Philippine area of responsibility, but is not expected to make landfall, according to state weather agency PAGASA. Filipinos could heave a sigh of relief, as the typhoon has the potential to develop into the strongest of 2014, according to a report from the Joint Typhoon Warning Center in Hawaii. Paengs intensity has been recorded at maximum sustained winds of 180 mph (290 kph), and is forecasted to intensify even further. This intensity would be record matching, said the centers meteorologists. In a video taken from the International Space Station, Paeng is visible as it moves across the planet.
