Earlier, dzBB reported Ruby had remained almost stationary off Eastern Samar for about an hour. It is also projected to make landfall in Sibuyan Island between 2 and 4 p.m. on Sunday, Romblon between 5 and 7 p.m. on Sunday, Tablas Island between 8 and 10 p.m. on Sunday, and Oriental Mindoro between 5 and 7 a.m. on Monday. By Sunday afternoon, it is expected to be 50 km east of Romblon town in Romblon. By Monday afternoon, it is expected to be 225 km west-northwest of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro or at 200 km west of Ambulong, Batangas. On Tuesday morning, it is projected to be 480 km west of Iba, Zambales. Red alert Even before Ruby made landfall, it is already making its presence felt with heavy rains over Eastern Visayas. PAGASA issued an red rainfall over Eastern Visayas on Saturday as Typhoon Ruby continued its approach. Serious flooding is expected in low-lying areas and landslides in mountainous areas, said PAGASA in a bulletin released at 6 p.m. The red alert is raised over areas where rainfall amount is expected to over 30 mm within one hour. Serious flooding is expected in low-lying communities under the red alert. Storm signals In its 5 p.m. bulletin, PAGASA placed 30 areas under storm signals.
