Typical Republican logic at work again! It is impossible to round up every illegal alien in the United States, and if we could, theres insufficient funding to deport them all. In fact, current estimates put the number of illegal aliens at about 11.5 million; down from 12.5 million before President Obama took office. We deported 438,421 in fiscal year 2013 and thats got the system severely backed up and financially strapped. Today, President Obama issued an executive order that directs immigration officials to stop deporting innocent illegals whose only crime is being in the United States illegally. Instead, hes directing them to step up enforcement of criminal aliens and is devoting more resources to tightening the border even more. It costs nothing to NOT deport someone, but there is a cost to enforce laws against criminals and to beef up border security. So, our friendly Republicans plan to defund the Presidents efforts to tighten the border and deport criminal aliens.
