Typically, I avoid the news. I cant handle it so I turn a blind eye. But this morning Ive spent hours reading about Israel and Palestine as well as other current events and Im heart broken. I dont know how I have the life I have. I certainly dont deserve it anymore than anyone else. I am so blessed by the life I live. We are safe, free, and all of our needs are met. We have more food in our kitchen right now than we need. I have a family filled with love. I do not take this for granted and I am so so thankful. My heart hurts for all the mothers who have hungry children, children with no medical care, no home for their children to rest, or who have lost a child in these crazy acts of war. If only I knew how to help. Please be so grateful for what you have today. For water, food, a car, a home, clothing, family. Know that when you lay your head on your pillow tonight with a full stomach and freshly showered hair, you are BLESSED. Regardless of the brand of your clothes, the size of your tv, the year your car was made, or how much your sunglasses cost. Gratitude. Overwhelming gratitude.
