Typically Jordan is not into movies. She will watch something a time or two if it REALLY catches her attn or is something she understands. She will usually give most movies a chance and after the 1st time.. she sees no logical reason to watch it again haha! We have watched the same Christmas movies, every year, one time a piece. And each year she watches it in her mind as it is her 1st time. There are reasons behind all of this like her literal thinking or her ADHD, and sometimes I wish she would watch certain movies more than once. That is pretty rare but it is what it is. What I have learned though, is if enough time passes, she no longer remembers either watching it at all, or doesnt remember enough of it to be curious enough to want to watch it again :D. I know we have a good movie.. when she is scripting and talking about a movie she has seen only once (literally) months later. Wont watch it a second time.. but remembers every detail and talks about it.. a lot.. Now with her literal thinking and her growing need to understand every detail of everything she watches.. watching movies with other people who dont understand this.. isnt quite easy yet. She will ask a million times ten questions about nearly every scene and if not explained to her satisfaction, will want that explanation explained as well. LOL. Not a rookie job believe me :p We watched The Santa Clause with Tim Allen last Friday at Jordans school with therapist M and for her it was her 1st time, but bein in the big room, lots of other kids, parents etc she didnt ask questions but I could see she had them. Behavior wise she did great, held it all in till we got to car then BOOM.. it ended up fine though we got her home, she decompressed and went to bed. The next day, she got her questions out & answered and all was right in her little world :D Guess what she is doing now? Watching The Santa Clause for the 2nd time before bed
