Tyson Oskar James Altmann March 01, 1981 − October 28, 2014 With unthinkable and untimely sadness we announce the sudden passing of Tyson (Red) Altmann, the most unforgettable husband, father, son, grandson, brother, uncle, brother−in−law, cousin and friend to all who knew him. Tyson Oskar James Altmann, age 33, of Nanaimo BC passed away in Montego Bay, Jamaica with wife Brittany by his side, on October 28, 2014. Tyson was born March 1, 1981 in Ajax, Ontario. He lived in Saskatchewan, the interior of BC, and for the past 25 years, in Nanaimo BC. Nanaimo was his home. Tyson was predeceased by his father Uwe Altmann, in 1984. Tyson is survived by his love of his life, Brittany, and their three incredible children Teddy (8), Brittannia (4) and Mariah (2); loving parents Brian and Jane Mowry, sisters Erika and Ursula Altmann, grandparents Roger and Alice Smallwood, grandmother Diane Corriveau, parents −in−law Don and Gail Morrison, brothers−in law Jordan and Nick, nephews Zak and Aiden, nieces Jamie, Paige and Madalynn, and, Aunty Laura, Uncle David, Uncle Barry and their families. Tyson provided an unprecedented life for his young family. His dedication to his family, work, friends, fishing/boating and cooking was unconditional. Tyson had a unforgettable sense of humour and laughter. His courage, loyalty, kindness, work ethic and love will never be forgotten. No matter where he went he touched many people. Words do not express what this extraordinary man had to offer the world. Gone way to soon, but his legacy lives on through his children, Dad is the almighty superhero! A funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Trinity Catholic Church, Spartan Road, in Nanaimo, British Columbia. A reception at the Nanaimo Yacht Club will follow the service. Interment will be at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens at 2:30PM. Wolfpack minus one.
