U-8 Blue: Corduff FC 6-0 Baldoyle United FC - Match Report It was a dry Saturday morning for Corduff FCs Under 8 side as they took on Baldoyle United FC at Corduff Park. It was an entertaining first half with both teams playing to win, however the Corduff defence proved too strong for Baldoyle and they couldnt break them down. Captain and man of the match Luke Gleeson was busy getting stuck in as his father Tommy cheered on from the sidelines as always a great pass from Glesson found Leon Burns who took it in stride before shooting and score a peach of a goal making it 1-0 to Corduff before the half-time whistle blew. Once the second half got under way it was pbvious that it was anyones game for the taking but it was Corduff who wanted it more and with Luke Gleeson scoring a cracking goal just after half-time it put Corduff 2-0 up. Corduff just kept going with Jamie Walsh scoring two super goals and Ikechukwu Raoul Oraziwho also got in on the act and grabbed himself a brace. All the goals came as a result of a great team display and the effort from everyone on the day culminated on the goalscorers being able to do what they do best. Manager Arthur oKeeffe stated after the game: Id like to thank the parents and friends of the team who came out to see the game and to Alex Spellmen who came to watch his team play even though he had injured himself last week playing for us and well done boys and girls you are getting better and better keep up the good work. Man of the Match: Todays Captain Luke Gleeson with a great all round performance and a cracking goal.
