U! Happy Events Foundation, a non-governmental organization based in Pasig City, donated instructional materials as Mr. Harvard Uy de Baron, its chairman / CEO, visited Malabon III District on October 4. Amang Rodriguez Elemtary School (ARES) hosted the formal turn-over ceremony of the said materials as Mrs. Gina S. Ong, principal, together with Dr. Rosemarie A. Galam, District Supervisor, 6 other school heads, teachers and pupils welcomed Mr. de Baron. “U! Happy Events provides support and teaches values to marginalized children,” de Baron said during a brief one-on-one interview with him. “We have been providing a platform for our sponsors, partners, and volunteers to be partnered with children in the Philippines through different creative and impact-filled events since December of 2006,” he added. De Baron stressed that U! as used in the name of the foundation stands for 3 objectives: Understand the need for change, utilize partner’s time, talent and treasures, and unify society through constant action.
