U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming granted a motion - TopicsExpress

U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming granted a motion Mon., Jan. 5, filed by The Cloud Foundation, American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign, Return to Freedom, Carol Walker (photographer and Wild Horse Freedom Federation board member) and Kimerlee Curyl (photographer) to intervene in a State of Wyoming lawsuit against BLM over wild horse management. This lawsuit seeks the removal of hundreds of wild horses from public lands in the state, where than fewer than 2,500 wild horses remain (far below the statewide AML of 3,722). These intervenors spend days and weeks on the ranges of Wyoming documenting in photographs, video, and articles the year round life of these wild horses, as well as the roundups, and holding facilities where they are kept after roundups. This photo is of the black stallion Rocky, who defied the BLM helicopters and took off on his own in last falls Wyoming checkerboard roundup, as Ginger filmed his escape.
