U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) raised a constitutional point of order against the $1.1 trillion omnibus spending that, if sustained, would have sent the bill back to the House to remove amnesty funding. Unfortunately, a group of Republicans joined the Democrats in voting to reject Cruzs point of order and to ignore the serious constitutional problems with the presidents executive amnesty. Our Senator John Cornyn was one of them. ALL of the members of Congress took an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America and I view this vote as a violation of that oath.
