Klodjan Lakij and Conor Shevlin goaled for the locals early in the second half and Shevlin and Ruairi Murphy added some fine points to give the Dreadnots some breathing space and claims both points. The final scoreline may have flattered the Clogherhead lads as there was only a single point between the teams at the break. Indeed, some heroic defending by David Holdcroft and Richard Thornton for the Dreadnots prevented Eire Og from establishing the lead. Carl Monaghan was in great form for the Dreadnots and accounted for four points in this half alone, while Curtis Johnson and Leo Reilly provided great assistance.
