U16s Wrap Round Sivven vs Wyndham Vale (Honouring our Kiwi Friend) I had a dream she says, a dream to wet the appetite of all believers. “Today’s the Day” our Fear Heared Trainer LB insisted…….and the rest is history. Would you believe et ! Our Suksteens, who have been building towards et and finally et all come together. Caroline Springs Sivventeen, Thirteen, One Hundred and Fifteen defeated Wyndham Vale Three, Four, Twenty Two. In a torrid affair, our Young Min stood tall in the face of adversity and showed their absolute class in a four quarter display. From the first bounce Matty & JB dominated the earways like a pair of Sivven Suks Sivvens. “Silky” smooth Will was back to his best and “Axe” continually slashed his way through Inner Me territory capping of a fine game with two goals. Luv the work of “Barra” Mundi this week standing tall in defence and Jaymes Coombe providing a brudge between defence and attack all day long. Patty “Danger” revelled in the contest and continues to grow as a Laker to be reckoned with and what more can we say about “Haydos”, these two, week in week out, head down and bums up, continue to attack the contest like pugs in mud………….. Sensational first half with our boys kicking 11 goals to nothing with a comfortable lead at the break. Then the stage was set, with a couple of opportunities having gone past him, The Incredible Luke “Hulk” Micallef bursts out of the pack, lines them up, and goes BANG……..CRACKING it for his first goal of the season….The crowd erupts, and with the boys rallying around him, there was no looking back. ……..And we come to our Min of the Moment ! He boarded Ear New Zulland to come across the detch and as he landed in Milburn he said move over Kiri Pecker, cause there ain’t room for the both of us. After his dazzling performance today, roll out the red carpet down the boulevard to welcome the new Mere of Caroline Springs, Tiaan “Falcon” Foster. From those humble beginnings when you were guaranteed at least one falcon per week, our Tee has now arrived…..and how appropriate that our “Falcon” produces his best performance for the Lakers against the Wyndam Vale “Falcons”… Ironic !!!! As the bench rides every moment, Tee kicks, his first, then goes to two and before you know it he has a third before half time. He snags another two by three quarter time and goes to the last break with handful of goals….that’s 5 everyone !!! Last quarter underway and the tension builds, “We want Suks Tee, Give us Suks Tee. Tee points to the bench and with a gren from ear to ear, nods and sas, “Suks it’ll be !” 15 seconds to go in the game, Dech bursts out of the middle, pumps it long to the square, and Tee with Suks written all over him pecks up the ball, swings on his trusty left, snaps ……………………………. BEHIND !......What theatre, the siren goes. Five it is, just one short of Suks! Great Win boys, Confidence Up, Belief in tact, Back to Town Centre next week, 2 in a Row is up for the taking……….Our Boys are camping on Friday Night. The Leadership group will be out hunting for food to feed their flock. Goose is mighty worried cause he gets cranky without his Friday Night Parma & Pot. Step up to the plate boys and don’t let him down or “Ice” and “Maverick” might be on the menu…….As for Wolfman, Azza comes up to me before he goes to bed and says “Dad, only one thing worries me about camping on Friday, if it’s a full moon, what happens to THE WOLFMAN ???? Stay Tuned !!!!!!!!
