U18s Match Report: Falcons 68-Raiders 12 The local derby was billed as a tight affair in the build up.Although the Raiders having several key players withdraw from their squad leading to them traveling a player light to Deeside. The early exchange showed the falcons one man advantage show with falcons the forwards making easy yards to release the three quaters after some great play in the halves. Falcons pulled away taking a healthly 38-0 lead at the break with some expansive team plays. The second half saw the visitors dig deep and some good forward work saw their prop crash over & the try was converted. Falcons eased off the gas in defence leading the raiders to score a carbon copy second try. A re-grouping by the lads in the final 15mins saw the falcons run in a series of trys to secure the 2 points. Man match went new signing Aled Davies although there were some good performances in other key areas today. Thank to the Matthews family for sponsoring MOM award.
