U9 Surfers Porpoises - by Amanda Shaffer Casuarina were looking to beach the Porpoises early, but unfortunately found themselves a try down at the 14 second mark. Casuarina never recovered as the Porpoises forward pod swarmed to every breakdown, making it impossible for the visitors to maintain any quality possession. Superior body position and intent showed extreme dominance in the turnover stats especially from the “Porpoise number 7”. The Porpoise star studded backline benefited from the upfront dominance as they tore through the Casuarina defence time again with multiple accurate and sharp passes being the show piece. The 30 min mark reached boiling point as the TMO ruled on dangerous play resulting in an early shower for the Casuarina hooker. Special mention to Harvey, Jat, Dan Waller and Wyatt for all putting their hand up to have turns at playing for Casuarina to help with the numbers. Proud of all the boys as their hard enthusiastic work at training continues to reap the benefits of improvement each week.
