UB LSAMP students should submit ASAP!!! The Louis Stokes Midwest Center of Excellence 2013 Conference Proposals are now being accepted from undergraduate researchers who have an affiliation with the National Science Foundation supported Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) programs. The Louis Stokes Midwest Center of Excellence is hosting the inaugural conference, A Call to Action: LSAMP Model for Broadening Participation in STEM, October 20-22, 2013. The conference will showcase LSAMP undergraduate research in STEM. LSAMP faculty mentors are encouraged to invite their students to apply. The poster session will immediately follow The Louis Stokes Recognition Award Dinner on Monday, October 21 at 8:00 PM. Students who wish to present a poster must submit a 250 to 400 word abstract detailing the content of their presentation. Please include funding support notice if a NSF supported research project. Presenters of 42 accepted posters will receive travel awards that include free registration, two-night lodging, and round-trip transportation to attend the conference. International travel is not included. Submission deadline: September 9, 2013 by 11:00 PM EST. Early submission is encouraged.
