Ancient of days, as old as you are, as old as you are, you will never change - SONG OF PRAISE The Psalmist say I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from where comes my help. My help comes from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved, he that keeps thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is my keeper, the Lord is my shade upon my right hand. The sun shall not smite me by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserves me from all evil, he shall preserve my soul. The Lord shall preserve my going out and my coming in from this time forth and even for evermore - PSALM 121 This was one of my mother best scriptural quotation and today, I use it as my scripture at my 39 years on earth. Though I paraphrase it to suit me, the text is very clear and precise. The Psalmist say that we must not rely upon men but have confidence in God only who makes all earthly things to us what they are. He emphasized that we must confort ourselves in the Lord when difficulties and challenges are hitting hardly on us. It submit that the Lord is our watchful keeper, comforter and defender even when we are in danger. I thank God today because of life which is the greatest of all gift. I recalled my childhood days till date, not all that we started together are alive today. I have witnessed my close friends, relatives and family members being buried but I am still alive today. It is not by qualification but by His grace. When I got lost at my very tender age, it was the Lord that rescue me. When I found myself in the middle of the river, He was the Lord that rescue me. When I saw death on the highway, He was the Lord that preserves my life. What else can I say than to thank Him who is worthy of all praises. He is my redeemer, comforter, defense, protector, deliverer, safety, giver of life, etc. My God is worthy. On this note, I appreciate all friends, well-wishers and mentors who has in one way or the other influence my life.
