UCSC enrolleds new students for BIT degree The University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC) is now enrolling students for the Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) degree programme, said Prof. Gihan Wikramanayake, the Director of this premier institution of higher studies. “We will be enrolling our 14th batch of students this time. The BIT degree course was launched in the year 2000. Since then, we have produced 1,200 BIT graduates. These graduates are employed in leading companies in Sri Lanka and overseas and are drawing substantial salaries. At present, there are around 7,000 job openings in Sri Lanka’s Information Technology sphere. Therefore, BIT graduates will not face any difficulty in securing productive employment”, Prof. Wikramanayake said. Students who have passed three subjects in the G.C.E.
