UCSF called yesterday. They have received the report and disc of the last PET scan so that means they have everything they need. Emily, a transplant coordinator, along with her superior, Kerry Kumar at UCSF, have been the most wonderful medical professionals weve had the pleasure of working with (and weve had more than I can count on two hands). These women have been on top of every development, communicate everything that transpires to us immediately, given us hope and courage and all with grace and dignity. We couldnt be happier that we accidentally got closed out in Denver and decided on UCSF instead. Denver never even informed us that Glenns case was CLOSED two years ago. In contrast. SF has gone above and beyond to be sure were always in the loop. So she said all the info has to be uploaded to their computers and the docs have to examine all the info. She hopes to be calling us back by the end of the week with the decision. YAY! I feel us emerging from limbo soon.Were hoping well be touching down at SFO before August is over. Keep those positive affirmations, prayers and good energies coming. And if you just found a pile-o-cash in the gutter on Mission St., please consider donating some of it to the cause.
