@UFC Fight Night 49 Weigh-In Results, Wanderlei Silva Disciplinary Hearing Update youtube/watch?v=YfzYgHo-iMo - Wanderlei Silvas possible suspension for taking a banned substance has been rescheduled after The Axe Murderer did not show up for a scheduled hearing before the Nevada Athletic Commission. Silva was set to be item No. 30 on the agenda, but the ruling was tabled. Prior to a planned fight with Chael Sonnen, Silva declined to take a drug test. He later admitted to taking diuretics, but does not believe he should be fined or suspended because he was licensed at the time to compete. Silva will need to acquire his fight license to compete again, something he plans on doing. According to a report by MMAjunkie, Ross Goodman, Silvas lawyer, was informed that his client did not need to be present for the hearing to take place. No new date for the hearing has been set.
