UFC Fight Night!!! WOW! Again a huge battle for the top spot of the 205 Lt heavy division with Jon "Bones" Jones taking on the Swede Alexander Gusstafson. Both fighters coming in with huge win streaks..Bones with 9 straight knockouts..The Swede with 6 wins in a row. The first round Jones gets taken down and CUT for the FIRST time in his career..and the Swede takes the first and probably the second round.. The Swede controlled the fight with versatile movement jabs and angular punches and the takedown defense. Jones fought hard early with leg kicks and seemed to have trouble with a guy that is every bit as big as he was an not afraid for 1 second. The 3rd round could have gone either way. In the 4th, Jones is getting tired but hits him with a spinning left elbow(which he did a lot of the fight making me believe his hand was hurt) and The Swede looks dazed and Jones moves in with Muey Tai knees but survives the round. The 5th..is DEEP water for both guys, both are dead tired but Jones again dominates. What a fight..action non-stop and Jones takes the win 3 rounds to 2. He goes to the hospital after the fight with cuts over both eyes and his mouth swollen. Unreal heart and MMA action from both guys..true warriors and respect given from both. Had great friends over.. including my wife Heather Alexander Stock, Carl Moeller, Steve Moore, Kurt Franta and now a NEW MMA convert.Holly Williams. Great fight, great friends great night!
