We have teamed up with FOUNDATION to bring you a night of upfront GRIME , GARAGE , JUNGLE & MORE Foundation is a brand new underground dance night/blog that has quickly grabbed the attention of the south coast clubbers and internet bloggers with their refreshing take on underground dance music events and their impressive online mix series from some of the biggest djs & producers in the scene . Djs on the night ..... TRENDS (Ghost House Dubz / Mixclique Recs / Mean Street Recs) Trends is an Oxford-based DJ/producer whose stripped back 8 bar sound is reminiscent of the early grime era, his influences stemming from the old school sounds. Having produced grime over the last 3 years, interest began to develop in his music during early 2013 with rotational support from Kahn & Neek, Spooky, Mak 10 and pioneers of grime Slimzee and Logan Sama. Showcasing a host of releases on the various labels of Mixclique, Oil Gang, Ghost House, Project All Out and his own Mean Streets Recs imprint. Wigpower from his beast mode ep was hailed by Mixmag as one for the clubs. This is trends debut appearance in Torquay . soundcloud/dj-trends NEFFA-T (SB.TV / Outlook Festival / Get Darker TV) Olly Bernhardt. Known in performance as Neffa-T, Olly has made a great deal of progress and achievements to be noted for. Bookings and residencies have seen him play well over 100 events, including Get Darker TV, The Bugged Out Weekender Festival (2012 & 2013) and destinations outside the UK, such as Horizon Festival (Bulgaria) and well-received sets in Noah’s Ballroom at Outlook Festival 2012 & 2013 . Late last year also saw him release a mix on the award winning SBTV beats YouTube channel with plays reaching into the several of thousands . Now 2 years into his residency on the highly acclaimed Rood.FM, Olly continues to push his style as an artist, reaching new and current followers from around the globe on a weekly basis. DJ sets creatively touch upon a number of genres whilst showcasing his underlying love for grime; calling back to the days of Eskimo Sound and his own memories of Channel U. facebook/neffa.t.uk APHIX (Rood.FM / Foundation) A respected DJ in the souths thriving bass-music scene, Aphix relies on an innovative selection combined with an energetic mixing style to move any club. A recent focus on production has seen regular plays on Rinse FM and NTS Radio, with support from the likes of Dusk & Blackdown, Last Japan, Wen and Mumdance. Showcasing his other-worldly rhythms, haunting atmospheres and punishing basslines, Aphix has seen bookings at major events across the south including last years Bugged Out Weekender. This, in addition to his residencies at Foundation, Lunar and Rood FM, has allowed his sound to be heard by a growing crowd of followers within the club scene. This is also aphixs debut set in Torquay soundcloud/aphixdj J RIDDIM (Riddim Sound System) J Riddim is becoming a name to be reckoned with in the south west sound system culture . Having put on some incredible free parties over the last few years as well as club events riddim sounds have been making noises you cant fail to hear along the south coast . J Riddim spins a wide spectrum of dance music from acid house , techno and jackin to dub , reggae and jungle but on this night we have him playing an exclusive UK garage set so expect some real big vibes from this excellent dj ! soundcloud/jamieriddim HABITAT (Pure Vibez , Asbo Audio , E-Motion Recs) Habitat is a young Junglist, originally from the well known seaside town of Torquay now living in Bournemouth . Habitat has been making music for two years now, and his blend of new-school Jungle has certainly not gone unnoticed. 2013 saw him land his first release on Aries and Benny Co-Lab’s label ‘Pure Vibez’, as well as a full release on the well established ‘E-Motion Records’. Habitat has quickly gained support from Jungle Legends such as Dj Kane on Kool FM, Dope Ammo, Marley Marl, Spirit and the original Renegade himself, Ray Keith as well as recognition from leaders of the new Skool such as Aries , Tuffist . Dawn Raid , Sterling Sound , dubist , DJ westy ,Pappa G ,Jinx and K-jah to name a few . Future plans for Habitat are to continue to progress his work in the studio and has now signed work to the mighty Asbo Records with his Debut release around the clock available now and as is looking forward to what 2014 has to offer ! soundcloud/habitatjungle Djs in the lounge .....
