UGANDA THE COUNTRY OF FOREFATHERS Uganda my beloved country ,a certain world war leader by names of Winston churchill for lack of knowledge of Ateso language called you The pearl of Afrika instead of “Atemele” ,I have sworn never to fear to identify with you either in private or in public. Because to me to be Ugandan is a sacred duty, I perform that duty diligently for God and you my beloved Uganda. Today Uganda ,I must be honest with you ;if you become a nation where truth,mercy,justice and freedom are not currencies for social interactions and cohesion, your detension facilities are going to be flooded with honest and courageous men and your “atemeleness “ will be soiled, because in this prisons men of dignity who shall never allow themselves to be robbed of honor of being free citizens ,shall share the fate of Jesus de creator from whom the Architects of my nation adopted the motto “for God and my Uganda. 9th of October (independence) ,9th June (Heroes), 26th January(liberation) are days our elders have taught us in civic lessons to always treasure ,days never to mourn but to rejoice as a nation of free men and women for having successfully broken the chains of oppression foreign and home grown ,it’s in these days we have learnt the most important lesson of our national history ,that its not a honourable act for one to be mistreated or ones dignity to be trampled upon in a country in which he was born ,we were taught that such a person or group of people either indigenous or foreign who in the name of executing public or private duty treat Ugandans with indignity is not honourable ,and must be resisted then ,now and the time to come that the creator shall permit the a nation of Uganda to last, of course certain that a nation established on the principles of truth,justice ,liberty and mercy shall never perish from the face of the earth Moyo to kisoro ,Elgon mountain to Albert lake . It’s the reason we are told how our revered heroes ,kabalega ,Mwanga, Ignatius Kangave Musaazi, SGT Semafa Amyeri SGT Castro Katongole among many used blades of pangas ,gun powder to restore the honour Ugandans .Every morning assembly we were taught to sing ,our national anthem…”oh. Uganda, may God uphold thee …we pledged during our earlier lives to love Uganda and give all our energies towards your progress and to fight any person local or foreign entity who steals our honour and dignity . Oh Uganda ,how I love you ,let crested crane glide, let the Kob project its robust and muscular neck for am covered by your beautiful flag . I hope I have honest with you My beloved Country .”Atemele ka”
