UGANDAN BEAUTY WITH BRAINS#MEET LYNETTE KEBIRUNGI THE UGANDAN GAL WHO FLIES A PLANE LYNETTE KEBIRUNGI attained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.), Aerospace Engineering 2011 - 2014 from Imperial College London. She is also pursuing a Master of Science (MSc), Advanced Aeronautical Engineering 2014 - 2015 from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom. She also attained a Liverpool International College Foundation degree, Science and Engineering 2011 - 2011, Grade: Pass with Distinction. Lynette was also a Squadron engineer-Intern at Uganda Peoples Defence Airforce from July 2012- August 2012 (2 months) i.e. She is an All round Sukhoi 30MK2 Squadron Engineer at Uganda Peoples Defence Air Forces whose primary role is to defend Ugandan airspace against external aggression. In Uganda, Lynette went to two High schools; Taibah College School for Ordinary level from 2004 - 2007 and Greenhill Academy for Advanced level from 2008 - 2009 and studied Physics, Economics, Maths and Fine Art. She worked as Accounts Assistant SKYnet Worldwide Express from August 2006 - September 2006 while still in Kampala, Uganda. SkyNet Worldwide Express provides distribution services worldwide including Express Courier, Sameday, Air, Sea and Road Freight, Mailing and Fulfillment. Lynette is also the Director of Campaign for Life an NGO based in Uganda and she has held the position since 2012 - to date. This is a non-profit charity organisation that was founded to help raise money for cancer patients in Uganda. The organisation intends to hold an event each year to fundraise for different groups affected by cancer. She has also been a Co-Host of UoL-Guild of Students, Ls Radio, a student radio show called Hits and Bits at the University of Liverpool. The show is aimed at promoting African culture and acts as a voice for the Afro Caribbean student community since November 2013 - May 2014. Lynette has been a Mentor at Headstart EDT a Nonprofit; 51-200 employees; Nonprofit Organization Management industry from July 2013 - 2013 (less than a year) Liverpool. Mentoring high school/college students for Headstart EDT science and engineering courses. This role entails motivating and encouraging the students to challenge themselves and apply various aerospace engineering principles to modify a simulation model of Grob G115E Tutor. Lynette is a self-motivated, highly innovative and confident Aerospace Engineering Graduate, with aspirations to improve her knowledge, experience and professional skills so as to make a dynamic impact in the aerospace industry. Particular strengths lie in project management and researching skills with knowledge of science and technology principles that are applied in aircraft development as well as use of computer aided software. WELL DONE LYNETTE....THE SKY IS THE LIMIT!
