UGC Published the List of Illegal Private Universities... The list of illegal private universities has been published with the type of problems, involvement in lawsuit, and various problems for the public interest, and information of parents and students. Education Ministry and the University Grants Commission (UGC) have suggested the parents and students to take decision after verifying accurate Information about those private universities. The universities are operating illegal campuses by taking the stay order from the honorable Court. The action cannot be taken due to their stay order of the Court. Six private universities are operating illegal campuses by taking stay order from the Court: 1. Darul Ihsan University- there is countless illegal campuses of Darul Ihsan University all over the country. 2. Prime University- there are four illegal campuses of Prime University in Dhaka city- (a) House: 352/B (Old), 31/B (New), Road: 27/A (Old), Dhanmondi; (b) Mokbul Plaza, 228/Ka, Progoti Sarani, Baridhara; (c) Certer Point Concord (5th Floor), 14/A, 31/A, Tejkunipara, Framgate, Tejgoan, Dhaka-1215; (d) Mollik Tower (13 and 14 Floor), Zoo Road, Mirpur-1. 3. Southern University of Bangladesh- Southern University operates three illegal campuses- (a) MM Ali Road, Dampara; (b) OR Nizam Road, GEC; (c) Halishahar, Chittagong. 4. Northern University Bangladesh operates two illegal outer campuses in Rajshahi and Khulna. 5. BGC Trust University Bangladesh operates an illegal campus in OR Nizam Road, GEC. 6. Ibais University- Uttara Campus operates two illegal campuses- (a) House: 27, Road: 06, Mohammadia Housing Society (Main Road), Mohammadpur, Dhaka-1207; (b) House: 13, Road: 35, Sector: 7, Uttara, Dhaka-1230. Six private universities are operating illegal campuses by avoiding UGCs order: 1. Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology operates five illegal campuses- (a) Buliding: 1, House: 77, Road: 19, Sector: 11, Uttara, Dhaka-1230; (b) Buliding: 2, House: 5, Road: 3, Sector: 6, Uttara, Dhaka-1230; (c) ARA Estate, 69/E, Panthopath, Bir Uttam Kazi Nuruzzaman Road, Dhaka-1205; (d) 53/1, Purana Paltan Lane, Dhaka-1000; (e) 5, Darus Salam Road, Section: 1, Capital Tower (5th Floor) Dhaka-1216. 2. The Peoples University of Bangladesh operates two illegal campuses- (a) Cha-75/Kha, North Badda, Dhaka-1212; (b) Al Razi Complex, Diganta TV Building, 166/167, Purana Paltan, Dhaka. 3. International Islamic University Chittagong operates an illegal campus in Bahaddarhat (Female Campus), Chittagong. 4. Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology operates an illegal campus in House: 04, Mirpur Road, South Kallyanpur, Dhaka. 5. Northern University Bangladesh operates two illegal campuses- (a) 24, Mirpur Road, New Market, Dhaka-1205; (b) 93, Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue, Karwan Bazar, Dhaka. 6. Southern University Bangladesh operates four illegal campuses- (a) Boyra, Khulna; (b) Mojompur, Kushtia; (c) Shatmasjid Road, Dhanmondi, Dhaka; (d) Karmichael College Road, Lalbagh, Rangpur. Avoiding the closing order of the government two private universities running illegally by taking the stay order from the Court: 1. All campuses of America Bangladesh University are illegal. 2. Queens University- House: 43/E, Road: 17/A, Banani, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Four private universities have pending case on the collisions about ownership and trustee board: 1. Darul Ihsan University, 2. Ibais University, 3. Prime University, and 4. Southern University of Bangladesh, Chittagong. In addition, investigation on irregularities in the private universities is continuing, the list of those universities will be published later.
