UHURU/RUTO’s nominee is “fake” and “corrupt”; forged transcripts and degrees. Monday June 17, 2013 - Uhuru/Ruto’s Principal Secretary nominee for the Fisheries docket Prof. Japhet Ntiba Micheni has been caught up in a major University scandal This after it was alleged that Micheni helped many students attain degrees in dubious circumstances when he was the Council Chairman of Presbyterian University of East Africa. Micheni, who faces the Parliamentary Vetting Committee next week, has an uphill task to defend himself from the allegation which has already been forwarded to President Uhuru Kenyatta as well as the vetting committee. According to the allegations most of which have been forwarded by both former and current PUEA Lecturers, Micheni had forged fake transcripts for many PUEA students who have proceeded to graduate whereas their results had been withheld by lecturers. Most lecturers at PUEA have gone for two years without pay something that prompted many of them to withhold results of their students to force the Administration to pay them their salaries which now runs to oversh50 million, but they were surprised to see students whose results they withheld graduate after Micheni forged transcripts. They now want Micheni disqualified from holding the PS docked, because he is corrupt and lacks moral competence.
