UK | What should the ‘balance of competence’ be between EU and UK law? Here are our views.... UK politicians want to shift a lot of the blame for our current problems in the direction of the EU. When it comes to immigration issues this is unjustified. Most of the problems of our system are stamped ‘Made in the UK’.... Don’t blame the EU.... It’s not the fault of EU regulation that UK immigration policy is in a mess. The system is choked up with over 300,000 unresolved applications and this has more to do with the burden of unworkable British legislation than anything coming from Brussels.
