UK dairy farmers are justifiably annoyed. With bTB killing our and ours alone national dairy herd it is causing shortages of home produce milk. Also with milk quotas in place for over 30 years limiting production, good old Ian Potter sets to confuse the uninformed public and Mr TB UNfree into thinking we are producing 2x as much as we need! Simply not true. The fact is, UK milk producers have cut back production significantly (not even reaching national quota that we were pre 1982) - but it has not helped the price as cheap surpluses from the rest of the world are snapped up by the supermarkets at the expense of home production, causing prices to plummet by 20%. bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-29448193
