SUN photo The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Assumption University of Thailand on academic collaboration, knowledge and research sharing. ULAB is one of the three Bangladeshi universities with which Assumption University has signed MOUs, the other two being Dhaka University and North South University. The signing ceremony was held on the ULAB campus at Dhanmondi on August 25. ULAB Vice Chancellor Prof Imran Rahman and Assumption University Registrar Dr Kamol Kitsawad signed the MoU and gave presentations on behalf of their respective universities. Dr Kitsawad also talked to the Heads of ULAB departments and other high university officials. He appreciated ULAB for its rapid growth within a short time as well as its unique academic curriculum. ULAB Vice-Chancellor Prof Imran Rahman stated that both universities can exchange students and faculty under this MoU. He said, “This MoU is a milestone for Assumption University and ULAB. We, at ULAB, take pride in being associated with this university.” DS30/08/13
