UMANA OKON UMANA UNDER WATCH - What Akpabio tells people about his former SSG Can the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio be so wicked to the extent of mobilizing enemies against his immediate past SSG, Obong Umana Umana after humiliating him out of office? Or, are all those who informed Global Concord about the governor’s evil plots against his former SSG bent on destroying the Governor? But considering the governor’s childish disposition and his penchant for destroying those he falls apart with, then we are persuaded to get the public informed. Penultimate Wednesday, Global Concord learnt from sources that the State Governor had took it upon himself to call all past political office holders: commissioners, Special Advisers, Pas, board members, etc, that hitherto were in his administration, and informed them that they were removed from his government by Mr. Umana Umana, and that he was not responsible. According to our sources, the governor had also told them that he had to force Umana out of his government when he realized that he was becoming too powerful and was out to destroy his government by removing best brains who should be contributing to move the state forward. The sources who contacted the paper separately confirmed the story. Meanwhile, the ex-SSG’s movement and activities are closely monitored by both the SSS and “unofficial men employed for that purpose”, according to a Government House source. The paper also learnt that the wife of the Governor, Mrs. Ekaeete Akpabio has sponsored women into Umana’s camp in an effort to get some information to work against the former SSG. According to the source who pleaded anonymity, the women have commenced work and will soon launch their organization which they have set all mercenaries in motion to achieve their mission.
