UML chief Khanal, IEC chair Regmi discuss election: (Nepal) ******************************************* CPN-UML chief Jhalanath Khanal Saturday called on Interim Election Council chair Khil Raj Regmi and discussed the upcoming elections. On the occasion, IEC chair Regmi reiterated that the government is committed to hold the Constituent Assembly polls in the stipulated date. He further said preparations are being made in full swing to conduct the elections successfully. Both the leaders were firm on the stance that election is the only solution to provide an outlet to political issues the country is going through now. According to officials at the Council of Ministers, Khanal and Regmi also discussed fulfilling the vacant constitutional posts at National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and appointing General Secretary at the SAARC secretariat.
