UN Academic Impact Student Essay Contest! “Many Languages, One World” International Essay Contest ELS Educational Services, Inc., a NAFSA Global Partner, and the United Nations Academic Impact initiative, of which NAFSA is a partner organization, are sponsoring an essay contest in which university students explore how multilingual ability advances global citizenship and understanding. Sixty students from around the world will be selected to participate in a youth conference at the United Nations in New York in June 2014. Entries must be in one of the 6 official languages of the United Nations that is not the entrant’s mother tongue or language of instruction. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older. Essay Submission Deadline: February 21, 2014 Winners will be invited to New York for an International Academic Impact Youth Forum, June 25-29, 2014. They will present their work in a Conference at the United Nations Headquarters on June 27, 2014. Airfare, room and board provided.
