UNBELIEVABLE!!! I do hope this was reported and the person fired. This is UNACCEPTABLE and there should be zero tolerance. I, for one wouldnt frequent this establishment. I remember how I felt when I was treated badly at the Pasquales restaurant in Johnson City, TX, 14 years ago. I had ordered chicken quesadillas and complained nicely to the server that there was only 2 tiny pieces of chicken in my quesadillas. The server informed the cook who came out and told me in a condescending way that I could either eat it or leave it. I chose to leave it and of course not pay since I hadnt eaten any of it. I wanted to advise management, so thought I would inform the owner who was at the register about the experience I had. Before I could complain, the owner said to me without shame and in front of my coworkers and other patrons, Niggas arent welcome here!!! Several of my coworkers were in shock and vowed to never return to that restaurant again, a popular spot there in town. A few years later the place closed. Id like to believe it was due to poor service and poor business, but I dont really care. I must dad that Johnson City is a nice quaint town and everyone else Ive come across throughout the last 15 years has been very nice. Though Ive moved on and met some kind folks there, I wont ever feel 100% comfortable after that experience. YES, racism still exists!!!
