UNDER THE RADAR: Belle & Sebastian – “Nobody’s Empire”. From the new album Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance, out January 19/20 2015 on Matador Records. Belle Belle & Sebastian have a new video their single “Nobody’s Empire,” a song frontman Stuart Murdoch claims is the “most personal I’ve ever written.” The visuals follow in that same vein, featuring actress and album cover model Tamzin Merchant — whom some anglophiles might recognize as the doomed Queen Catherine Howard on Starz’s The Tudors— poignantly lip-synching Murdoch’s lyrics, which tell the story of his childhood health problems.
