UNDERSTANDING CHRIST MISSION AND COMMISSION. Jesus came to the world to do some specific thing, which was written about him. Jesus said"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. " (Luke 4:18-19). When ascended into heaven he gave us the same spirit, the holy spirit. And just before he ascend he commission us to the rest of the redemption work. He told us that those signs he performed shall follow us (mark 16:17-18)
