UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Org.) has declared Hagia Sophia as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. So is Turkey trying to inspire their people (who btw are protesting in the streets) by reliving conquests of an age gone by, long, long ago? Have they no vision for the future? Conquest is for foolish men absent of Gods grace! A commission in Turkish parliament is considering an application by citizens to turn the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul into a mosque, a bill has been introduced in parliament to restore Hagia Sophia to a symbol of the Conquest of Istabul and in November, Turkeys deputy prime minister promised that the building would be smiling again as a mosque soon. oh, and it was the conquest of Constantinople... then it became Istanbul
