UNICEF COMMUNICATION FOR DEVELOPMENT (C4D) SPECIALIST (WATER SANITATION & HYGIENE) (National Officer – NOC- Fixed Term) Duty Station: Manila, Philippines The Job: Reporting to WASH Specialist, this post is responsible for the design, formulation, management, execution, monitoring and evaluation of a behavioural change and social mobilization strategy, plan of action and programme activities in support of the WASH programme within the country programme. We are looking for individuals with the ff. qualifications: • Advanced university degree in the social/behavioural sciences, (Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Health/Sanitation Education, Medicine) and/or Public Health, Civil Engineering, Sanitation Engineering, or a field relevant to international WASH related development assistance with emphasis on strategic communication planning for behavior development, social mobilization, participatory communication, and research. • Training in gender and in WASH programmes that promote gender equality an asset. • Minimum five years of progressively responsible professional work experience in the development, planning and management of WASH social development programmes, including several years in developing countries, with practical experience in the adaptation and application of communication planning processes to specific WASH programmes. • Fluency in English and Tagalog.
