UNION LEADERS NEED TO START THINKING SMART Union leaders believe if they get their candidate into office they have made it. It may get them some temporary boost in income and other benefits as long as their candidates occupy those offices, but economics has no good relationship with nepotism, favoritism and corruption! What would the union members do some twenty years down the road when they retire and there is no pension money to collect, and no remedy is available to them other than ending up in the poorhouse?! Would they have any other choices left at that stage of their life? Unions need smart leaders and candidates to look after their long-term interests. That requires a candidate with vast knowledge of economics and a plan that serves them in the long-run.
