UNIQUE CONCERT: August 21st will bring the Springfield Botanical Gardens to our big fundraiser this summer to get us started on Phase One of our Sensory Garden project sponsored by Friends Of The Garden. This is the Bettine Clemen/Richard Patterson concert at the Springfield Art Museum. The concert A Love Song for All Life will feature light classics, Latin, pop, and ethnic music combined with stunning film with animal sequences from around the world. Bettine is a renowned international solo flutist from Bavaria in Germany, although sometimes resident in Springfield. Richard Patterson has been called “one of the great guitarists of America.” This will be Bettine Clemen’s third concert in aid of our Sensory Garden project. The concert is at 6:30 p.m. at the Springfield Art Museum on Thursday, August 21, 2014. It will be followed by a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception at the Art Museum that is included in the $ 45 price of a ticket. There will be a silent auction of Art Work by Peter Longley at the reception. Tickets are now on sale at the Botanical Center (417 891 1515), the Springfield Art Museum (417 837 5700), Waverley House Gifts and Gallery (417 882 3445), and online at friendsofthegarden.org. Expect great music, stunning photography, humor, and an appreciation for the interconnection and beauty of all life. There will also be opportunity to meet Bettine Clemen and Richard Patterson at the reception and to purchase their CDs and DVDs.
