UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY: Jews For Judaism, Inc. is seeking applications for a first or second year law student for a volunteer summer internship. This opportunity is very unique and will be under the supervision of Jews For Judaism’s outside counsel. The internship will involve researching and drafting a legal guide for Jewish organizations to preserve their integrity as Jewish based organizations when faced with aggressive or subversive tactics from certain evangelical missionary groups often calling themselves: Messianic Jews, Jews for Jesus, Completed/Fulfilled Jews. There are a number of legal issues that Jewish organizations face when dealing with these issues: anti-discrimination laws, first amendment laws, employment laws, corporate/organizational documents and membership policies, misappropriation of trademarks, licensing of mailing lists, etc. The legal intern will be responsible for researching and drafting a practical guide that will be distributed to hundreds of Jewish organizations nationwide. School credit may be available for this position. This is a virtual internship and is open to any law student in the country who has an interest in the subject.
