Ecclesiastes 4:9 Do we have connections? [in facebook, linked In, Twitter? Let us have some recollections. In the past, or at present, either we have been benefactors [GIVER] or beneficiary [RECEIVER] of good things to or from others, without us really being aware of it. In the mid 1960s, when I can yet barely read, I remember the English textbooks I browsed, the first being one previously used by my elder brothers, then the early ones provided by our public schools back home, all of which were donated by the American government. Also, during my elementary school days in the Philippines, I can still savor the taste of KLIM milk and the fresh flour bread baked by the only bakery in our locality, whose bags were labeled –Relief from the United States of A., that was in line with the two nations joint nutrition project. Whatever we may have been, or wherever we are now, came thru connections, either local or international… We are now in this great nation, what ever we enjoy now, happened thru some of our efforts and because of connections… We can do greater things, though we may not be rich and famous, that is, with good attitude, and of course, thru connections… Do we know? that there are some people either here or in some other parts of the globe, whose movements are limited, who try as hard as they can to advance, but cannot do any further, because they lack connections… ----- *** ----- Our STANDPOINT: GRATITUDE When we share our blessings to the needy, we manifest appreciation and gratitude for what we have. * Reference * Psalm 107 * 1-3 1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. 2 Let the redeemed of the LORD tell their story— those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, 3 those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south.
