UNQUANTIFIABLE LOVE OF GOD Two things stand out in Genesis 2. One is that God planted a garden for His children. He lovingly planted a garden for them so they would have everything they needed to start this new life as the first people. Second, God cares so deeply for them He even warns them of the dangers of going outside of His plan for them. He tells them that if they eat from the wrong tree, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil they will die. This is a loving act often interpreted wrongly as vengeful but a parent always has rules of the house and consequences for breaking the rules. God graciously warns them of the pitfalls of seeking the fruit from the wrong tree. Thirdly after they fail He calls them back into relationship to Himself and then makes clothes for them out of skins. He must have killed the animals by offering sacrifices on their behalf since they did not know how to sacrifice yet. Genesis is full of examples of a loving God creating, relating, and protecting His children. God loves us and demonstrates His love constantly. Have a blessed day.
