UNVALUED GRACE Luke 13:1-8 As death is constant in life so - TopicsExpress

UNVALUED GRACE Luke 13:1-8 As death is constant in life so also the judgement, both are conjoined twins which no one can really separate. Every human being will come to an end one day and judgment will takes place there after. And if death and judgement is certain, I think there is reason for us to sit back and analyse the way weve been living our lives. It is high time for us to think for a change, because everything happening around us across the globe especially in Nigeria and Iraq is pointing to nothing but the second coming of our God. This second coming of Jesus will come suddenly but God has really prepared us through His word not to be caught unaware. Brethren, in our todays passage Jesus was talking about the grace that people do not value. Jesus was narrating how Pilate killed many worshippers at the temple while offering their sacrifice. And that is really happening in Nigeria now. Boko Haram killing many Christians while serving God. But Jesus said, they were not killed because they were the worst sinners but to bring others to repentance. The people that were killed will get to heaven if they have lived their lives well in our Lord Jesus, but if not, they will end up in hell fire. Many people have died, you have witnessed some while you have heared about others, but God still keep you alive up till today. It is never because you are better than they do but God preserved you and I so we can turn to a new leave. But many do not value the grace that God had bestowed on them, they are still living a reckless life without considering the coming judgement of God. My questions to you this morning are, how prepared are you for the second coming of our Lord Jesus? If death comes today, how prepared are you? If judgement takes place today, my question to you is, how prepared are you? Many have been taking the grace of God for granted, they do not heed to the crying and the message of Jesus Christ saying: ....unless you repent, you will perish too. Jesus demands repentance from you, so you will not end up like the Galilelians and the people of Siloam. But our God is full of patience, waited for three solid years for one single man to repent. Do you know how long God has been waiting for you to repent? And I sense 3years that the gardener was begging for was a deadly year. Why? It is because Judas Iscariot also followed Jesus for 3½ but Jesus really also waited for him to turn to a new leave from stealing for 3years but he did not. He perished after 3years by hanging himself. You have been doing terrible things, living in a serious compromise and following the ways of the wicked. And day by day heaven has been pleading on your behalf, but for how long will you continue in your error? The Lord demands a great change from you and expect you not to continue wasting His grace upon your life. Grace was given to you to be alive today so you can turn to a new leave with your creator. Therefore, you must value the grace and turn to a new leave by having a proper reconcilliation with our Lord Jesus.
